Harold Wherry
Founder of the "Blue Breeze" band
Electric and nylon string acoustic guitars
Harold’s stylistically wide-range and soulful guitar playing have a unique way of catching the collective ear. During his formative years, Harold was influenced by a steady diet of R&B, blues and jazz on the club scene in Los Angeles, and he, himself, has contributed immeasurably to that very scene as a professional musician. As a teenager he backed soul/R&B singer Bobby Byrd (aka: Bobby Day - writer of “Rockin Robin” "Over and Over" and "Little Bitty Pretty One"); years later he backed jazz/blues saxophonist “Big Joe Burrell” and “Joe Houston”; vocalist Micky Champion, Zola Moon and Canadian vocalist Dutch Mason. In 1993 Harold performed as part of the orchestra for the production of "Bye Bye Birdie" produced by the Aerospace Players (The Aerospace Employee Association Musical Comedy Club). During the 1999 Vancouver Island Music-Fest he performed side by side with blues icon “Sonny Rhodes.” Harold can also be seen performing with... "BOBBY BAKER & THE FAMOUS COASTERS REVIEW" An avowed collector of rare guitars, Harold sometimes travels great distances to locate a special six-stringer.
Darryl Bomar
4-, 5-, and 6-String Electric Basses and vocals
A veteran of the Detroit (Motown) music scene, Darryl played bass all through high school where he worked in a local R&B band, The Black Sands. "Cross-trained" as a musician, who spans several genres, Darryl’s professional experience includes rock, blues, and all styles of jazz.
Tom (Buster) Harrell
Drums and vocals
Buster is a dynamic drummer who is the solid foundation of many different and varied lineups in all genres of music. He was one of the first drummers to perform and recruit on tours of the country for the U.S. Army in the 1970’s. He has played in Europe under the same banner. For over thirty-five years he has plied his signature of in your face, locked in the pocket drumming, with just enough spice, back beats and groves to Motown R&B, Blues, Rock and Smooth Jazz. He is noted for his varying catalog of music that is locked in his repertoire. This catalog, his ability, and his style enable him to be an artist, (who also sings), that is sought after when the gig requires a veteran.
Garland Campbell
Tenor and Alto saxophones and flute
A multi-instrumentalist, Garland S. Campbell delivers a tight, up-beat musical performance which integrates his talents on saxophones, flute, and trombone. Garland grew up performing in school bands and in small groups around Detroit. He did this all the way through college. Since then he has performed Motown R&B all over the Los Angeles area, and appeared on-screen in three major motion pictures. His contemporary jazz and R&B, sax style has a presence that swings warmly with all audiences.
Horace Coleman
Lead Vocals
Horace grew up in Southern California singing in Church and Community Choirs. His professional carrier has allowed him to perform with many prominent Gospel Artists throughout the years.
Richard Moorings
Keyboards, vocals and trombone
Richard is a multi-talented artist who has thrilled crowds in Europe, Asia and throughout the Continental USA. Although he is a notable trombone player, he began studying the piano after finishing college. He is presently a member of the world famous soul/R&B/funk band “L.T.D.” And can also he heard performing as a member of the in-house band on the hit television show “Will and Grace.”

We were influenced mostly by the music we listened to and enjoyed while growing up. This music will always be near and dear to our hearts. I know you all remember the Temptations, Al Green, The Commodores, Kool and the Gang, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Wilson Pickett, The Isley Brothers, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Ben E. King, The Drifters, Carlos Santana, Gato Barberi, George Benson, Grover Washington Jr., B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, Z.Z. Hill, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, & D'Javan to mention a few! And lets not forget Charles Earland, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Smith, Erroll Gardner & Oliver Nelson. Some people might call Blue Breeze a Motown Band, Soul Band, Dance Band, Party Band, Wedding Band, or a Jazz & Blues Band.
